A BIT ABOUT VIBEZ INTERNATIONAL

Vibez hosted its first healing retreat in Jamaica in 2005, and we have been facilitating healing experiences in our community for over two decades. Each medicine retreat is a unique expression of our devotion, to being in service while staying true to our Shipibo medicine teachings of healing others.

We connect people to their innate power to heal themselves through the spirit of sacred master plant medicines. Our goal is to foster an understanding and appreciation of the natural world and its potential to heal our community on a profound level. Our team of master plant healers and educators creates a supportive and vibrant support system, helping our guests to explore and deepen their connection to the healing power that lies within. We are guides. Whether it’s through workshops, retreats, or individual sessions, we’re here to help you heal and replant your spirit.

A Bit About Vibez

REPLANT YOUR SPIRIT

Grandmother Vine | Ayahuasca |La Medicina

Grandmother Vine is a powerful psychoactive plant medicine that has been used for centuries, by indigenous shamans and communities in the upper Amazon rainforest for healing, diagnosis, and divinatory purposes. Today it is used as medicine itself, a plant ally for healers, and as a diagnostic tool.

The psychoactive properties of Grandmother Vine mixed with other master plants are believed to activate a naturally occurring chemical in a person’s pineal gland, often considered the third eye portal (Ajna chakra) amongst Indigenous healers. Many healers and shamanic practitioners believe this leads to the vision quests that ensue after ingesting the brewed version of the medicine, and why participating in ceremony is a way to connect deeper allowing individuals to gain new insights, release blockages, and reconnect with their true essence. A good way to think about this is to imagine that the medicine is a cave and the additional plants are like the beam of a torch illuminating the cave.

Ayahuasca is a powerhouse. It protects brain cells and stimulates neural cell growth. It boosts mood, improves mindfulness, and treats depression and addiction disorders. It facilitates a connection with the spirit world, providing access to spiritual guidance, wisdom, and healing.

Our Ayahuasca retreat offers an immersion in traditional Shipibo plant spirit healing complemented with yoga classes, clean eating, powerful methods of inquiry, and unique practices specifically designed to support you as you integrate your healing work, empowering you to take full responsibility for and agency over your life. The alchemy of these systems offers an opportunity for powerful healing that reaches into the roots of trauma and provides highly effective integration guidance to bring profound and lasting transformation.

Meals:

Fresh organic Ital meals prepared by private chefs with daily fruits, natural juices, bush teas and water. Keeping in line with Shipibo traditions, during ceremony nights, no dinner will be served.

3 Shipibo-style Peruvian Grandmother ceremonies.

Meet Your Healers

Retreat Facilitators

Senen Kaby

Senen Kaby is an indigenous Shipibo Maestra from the Puculpa region of the Peruvian Amazon. Senen is coming from a long lineage of shipibo maestros. Her spiritual strength is felt in ceremony and outside of the space as well. Senen is very present and tuned into participants throughout these healing experiences. With very powerful icaros, Senen leads a traditional and safe space. Growing up in natural surroundings and being guided by her elders and many plant dietas, Senen has developed extensive knowledge about Peruvian plant medicines and healing modalities. Senen works in remote villages throughout Peru, volunteering and assisting elders and at risk communities. She has traveled throughout Peru, Europe and Jamaica, sharing her deep plant knowledge as well as traditional flower baths, purgatives and energy clearings.

Ras Vane (Picon Jisma)

Ras is the founder of Vibez and co-founder of the Rastafari Indigenous Village in Jamaica. He has over three decades of guiding journeys with children teachers and over ten years of journeying with grandmother medicine. He has been training with the Shipibo tribe of Peru since 2017. For over a decade, Ras has worked with the Indigenous people of America facilitating sweat lodges and Grandfather Medicines. Ras hosts group tours to experience indigenous cultures, traveling to Ethiopia, Ghana, Peru, Panama, Costa Rica, and Jamaica, with most retreats being held in Jamaica.

Rastafari traditions, fathering, healing, nature preservation, intentional community development, and learning indigenous ways are at the heart of everything he does.

Kindred

Kindred is a humble, caring & creative spaceholder, primarily a poet who also songwrites, sings, creates visual art and more. He is a trained teacher in English Language Literature and Linguistics, an experienced live television broadcast journalist who used to read live tv news in Jamaica, an investigative journalist and an experienced life skills coach having been an integral part of a prison rehabilitation program that had him visit male and female prisons in Jamaica at least three times a week for years engaging in transformational programs and technical skills training. He has also been the owner of a profitable jewelry business.

His personal pursuit of purpose led him years ago to go within to raise his awareness of self. He began a program called Aquaphobia Therapy - 0 to Survival Swimming in 7 days and also began sharing thr ancient art of jogging meditation. Kindred was exposed to Paidalajin for the first time 7 years ago. After 3 years of personal practice he began to share these wisdoms with those who were open. Quickly Kindred came to realize the priceless value of sharing this easy to transfer message and abandoned all his prior pursuits to share the message of our self healing capacity. He examines a range of pre existing self healing technologies to help explain the mysteries of anciency in common language. He is not the only person who uses these techniques in Jamaica or the world. However, he emphasizes self healing not as a treatment, but as a DIY process that all have access to, and that once learnt, all can practise on their own for free. What we call miracles are his daily norm. He lives to serve you.

Divayogi

Divayogi, Michelle Stafford uses the physical to reach the spiritual. She infuses her knowledge of Yoga with The Feldenkrais Method and Reiki. When the body is healed, the mind and spirit follow. This will be Michelle's third year with us.

Uni Kaya

Uni Kaya is a traveling artist, art teacher, tattooer and retreat facilitator. His passion for martial arts led him to explore Buddhist practices, yoga and breathwork, which he is eager to share with others. Since 2014 he is studying in the shipibo tradition and in 2018 he started dieting under the guidance of Maestro Don Enrique, where he began singing in the Shipibo language. This transformative experience deepened his connection to Peru and the plant world. Uni continues to study with the Shipibo tribe, facilitating ceremonies and expanding his knowledge through dieting. Grateful for the healing he has received from plant medicines, Uni is committed to sharing this medicine and supporting others on their journey. His message is one of trust, deep breaths, and letting go of what no longer serves, reminding us that every journey begins with a single step.
